My “Customer Avatar” is a typical
stressed out college student that is in over their head. They are broke even
though they work, they don’t always realize they are stressed because they are
always stressed. They used to have hobbies but over the past few years they
have quickly faded due to the constant pressure of school. Most likely this
customer is in their twenties but at times they feel sixty and at others they
feel twelve. I am sure they watch some combination of sports, Shameless, Game
of Thrones, and many other Netflix shows. The customer hates books but is
constantly reading. Thanks school. On top of so many other stress factors now
this customer needs an internship to graduate college, but they are sometimes
hard to find.
It is not that I have anything in common with this customer
but rather I have everything in common with the customer. I don’t believe it is
a coincidence as many times entrepreneurs often times solve needs that they
also have. I want to solve this problem for future students in my situation.
Hey Ryan, I agree with your description of a prototypical college kid. We are either studying, watching Netflix or drinking. I do believe the difference between an entrepreneur and a 9-5 person is the drive they have. Everyone has problems and they all come up with solutions, the difference is, entrepreneurs want to fix this problem for all, not just themselves.
ReplyDeleteI like the description you provided of a college student, it applies to me and most of my friends. I spend my weekends watching sports and my weekdays watching Netflix or doing school work. For the stress part, there are quite a few times where I can't even tell if I'm stressed or not when I have a busy school week. The internship aspect plays a huge part in that stress, especially as I get closer and closer to graduating.
ReplyDeleteHey Ryan, you nailed todays college student perfectly. Your absolutely right about being stressed so much from school, work and lack of money that we don't even know what its like to not be stressed. I hope your solution happens sooner rather than later. Keep up the good work man!
